Last Chance Audubon would like to welcome members and friends of LCAS to join us for the 2018 Christmas Bird Count (CBC).  This family friendly event will take place on Saturday, December 15 with an evening potluck to follow.  The CBC is an annual event to census bird populations in and around the Helena valley.  Nine  leaders will take groups into the valley in search of birds that call the Helena area their home in the winter season.  Group size is not limited and all are welcome regardless of ability to identify birds.  We need sharp eyes and ears, and our leaders fill focus on  assisting the groups with ID of the various species seen and heard.  Additional information, sign up and questions can be directed to Coburn Currier at clcurrier@hotmail.com

Please meet at Jorgenson’s Restaurant at 6:45AM if you would like to have breakfast prior to the survey.  Otherwise, we will gather between 7:00 and 7:30AM to assign groups and depart for the field.  An evening potluck is scheduled at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church (fellowship hall) at 6:00PM.   We will share the days results and enjoy some camaraderie and stories from the day.  Please plan to join us for a fantastic day of birds, friends and fellowship!
